Cookies and local storage
Honest and short: Cluvia does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics. We count visits to our own site without cookies — nothing is stored in your browser for it. What we do store is your sign-in session, your device preferences and a working copy of your companies, kept in your browser.
What is stored, and why
| What | Where | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in session | Browser storage, issued by our authentication service | Keeps you signed in. |
| Theme, animation and window preferences | localStorage | Remembers your theme, whether animations are on, and how the terminal window was left. |
| Voice preferences | localStorage | Your mic, read-aloud, auto-send and silence settings. |
| Small notices seen | localStorage | One-time notes, like the work-mode notice, are not shown again. |
| Your companies, per company | localStorage (this browser only) | A read-only copy of each company, so your companies still show before they load and while you are offline (nothing is ever saved from it); and the unsaved changes of a company this browser is editing, kept until Cluvia confirms they are saved, so a closed tab or a lost connection loses nothing. If the browser is too full to keep them, they are held on the page for you to download instead. |
| Parked copies | localStorage (this browser only) | Holds unsaved work this browser could not save, for example when another tab or device took the company over first, so nothing is silently lost; manage them in Settings → Parked copies. |
| On-device voice model (optional) | Browser cache/IndexedDB | Only if you use the fallback speech engine; the model is downloaded once and can be removed in Settings → Voice. |
Counting visits, without cookies
To know how many people visit Cluvia and how they find it, the site reports which of its screens you saw (the landing page, sign in, sign up, onboarding or the app), how long each was visible, the site that sent you and any campaign tags in the link. Our server adds the country and the device and browser type. Nothing is stored in your browser for this: no cookie, no local storage, no identifier. Your IP address and browser details are never stored — they are combined with a random value that changes every day and turned into an anonymous code, so a visit can be counted once per day but you cannot be recognised later or across other sites. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, no visit is counted at all.
Our approach
We currently use storage that we believe is necessary to provide the service or remember choices you make. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If our use changes, we will update this page and introduce consent controls where required.
We do not sell your data.
Managing it
You can clear this storage from your browser settings at any time — you will be signed out and preferences reset. Your companies stay in your account, but unsaved changes and parked copies live only in this browser: clearing it removes them, so wait until Cluvia says your changes are saved, and download any parked copy you want to keep, first. Some things have their own controls: remove the voice model in Settings → Voice, and review parked work in Settings → Parked copies. Last updated: 29 September 2026.
